The designer of performance snow skis has just debuted the trailer for theirfeature film “THIS IS HOME,”which showcases Faction athletes facing their own turf on fresh andnot-so-fresh powder. The flick is dedicated to bringing the aspect of home toeven the most extreme of sports as it dives into the personal stories ofthree-time Winter X Games Gold Medalist Candide Thovex, freeskiing and bigmountain guru Johnny Collinson, 15-year-old prodigy and Winter X Gamesslope-style Gold Medalist Kelly Sildaru and freestyle skier Adam Delorme as theydiscover the true meaning of culture and lifestyle.
So what is it exactly?

Good question. The production follows the journey of the Faction athletes totell the story of what it takes to be a professional skier. Along with theenvironment and obstacles that are faced, including the crashes and burns(freezes?), the film crew hones in on what these pros have gone through and aregoing through to shape their careers and fine-tune their skills.
The film has been in the works by the Faction crew for the greater portionof a year and have faced different terrains such as the slick streets ofFinland, fresh layers of snow in Montana to Zermatt, Switzerland. Also featuredin the film is Candide’s “playground” in La Clusaz where he formerlyheld the Candide Invitational back in 2007.
“Every avid skier has memories about how they got hooked. I mean reallyhooked,” said Alex Hoye, CEO and Co-Founder of Faction Skis. “I guessit’s like an induction to a special tribe. After talking to the athletes on ourteam last year, we wanted to get to the core how these totally diverse peoplefrom different places all converged and seem to share a bond. So we went on theroad to the mountains – sometimes fields and streets – that shaped them. As thefilming played out, we realized that the message somehow evolved to the factthat home can be as much a feeling as any place. We hope ‘THIS IS HOME’ feelslike a homecoming for everyone who watches it.”
Keep an eye out for THIS IS HOME as it will premier in the U.S. in Denver,as well as in Annecy, France. Faction Skis will also announce film tourlocations along with dates at a later time.
