If I am being completely transparent, the Chevrolet Bolt EV when you first lay eyes on it, does not wow you. But after driving it, thanks to Chevrolet, I can honestly say, I get it.
As we continue National Drive Electric Week, the Chevrolet Bolt EV is a legitimate option for those that want to go electric but still have a sense of adventure. Does it pack like an SUV, no, but it carries more than you expect and the interior is beyond roomie. You just have to try it for yourself to experience it first hand.
The 2020 Chevy Bolt EV is an all-electric hatchback, with room for some of the adventure toys, paired with a long driving range. The Bolt EV is capable of traveling up to 259 miles on a single charge and starting at less than $40,000. And when you are on an adventure, the Bolt EV features an available DC Fast Charging system that enables the battery to be charged up to 100 miles of range in 30 minutes. So grab a coffee and enjoy the scenery for a minute or thirty.
Aside from being a great electric car, the Bolt was built to make EVs more accessible to everyone, and since the launch of the Bolt three years ago, Chevrolet is setting the bar in this category of affordability with performance.
The Bolt EV has some spice too! The Bolt’s electric motor provides instant response when you get on the “gas pedal” also known as an accelerator pedal in an all electric car and ample low-end torque that lets you get off the line quick. Not built for racing, but it will still do the job really well.
If you are still not convinced that the Bolt can be a part of an adventure lifestyle, Chevrolet proved the Bolt EV is capable of completing a California Double (surf and ski in one day) on a single charge, making it from Southern California’s San Onofre State Beach to Snow Summit in the San Bernardino Mountains.

We get it. The Chevrolet Bolt EV may not be the fit for everyone, but if you are looking to go electric but not give up an adventure lifestyle, this probably is the car for you.
