Traeger is expanding its push into flat top cooking with the launch of the Irontop Series, a new griddle lineup designed to bring the brand’s signature build quality and performance to a more accessible price point.

Announced April 28, the Irontop Series builds on the company’s growing presence in the griddle category following the debut of its Flatrock model, offering a streamlined option for cooks looking for fast, versatile outdoor meals without sacrificing performance.

The new lineup is aimed at both first-time griddle users and experienced backyard cooks, combining rapid heat-up times, edge-to-edge temperature consistency, and durable construction into a design built for everyday use — whether that means a quick breakfast before work or feeding a full backyard on the weekend.

“Traeger’s mission is about more than cooking; it’s about creating memorable meals that bring more people together,” said Jeremy Andrus, chief executive officer of Traeger. “With Irontop, we’re lowering the barrier to entry, not the bar, by bringing our proven innovations into a new class of griddles.”

The Irontop Series is designed to handle a wide range of cooking styles, from breakfast staples like pancakes and eggs to high-heat dishes such as smashburgers, fried rice, and fajitas — the kind of meals that tend to draw people out of the house and toward the backyard.

Among its key features is true edge-to-edge heat, a hallmark of Traeger’s griddle design that ensures even cooking across the entire surface. The series also includes integrated wind guards to help maintain steady temperatures in variable outdoor conditions, along with a rust-resistant, food-safe griddle coating designed for long-term durability with proper care.

The company says the new griddle heats quickly, making it well-suited for both quick weeknight meals and longer, more relaxed weekend cooking sessions where the grill tends to become the center of attention.

The Irontop Series will be available in two sizes:

  • Irontop 2-Burner — 504 square inches of cooking space, priced at $499

  • Irontop 4-Burner — 648 square inches of cooking space, priced at $599

Both models are designed to accommodate a range of cooking needs, from smaller family meals to larger backyard gatherings.

Traeger will begin introducing the Irontop Series on April 28, with in-store availability starting May 15 through retailers nationwide.

The launch reflects a broader shift in outdoor cooking, as consumers increasingly look for equipment that offers speed, flexibility, and ease of use alongside traditional grilling methods.

For Traeger, the move further strengthens its position beyond wood pellet grills and into a wider outdoor cooking ecosystem — one where the backyard is not just for weekend grilling, but for everyday meals, quick cooks, and the kind of gatherings that tend to last a little longer than planned.
