FuelFest, the global celebration of automotive culture, is gearing up for its first-ever show in Salt Lake City, set to take place on Saturday, August 16, at the Utah State Fairpark. Featuring over 600 custom, exotic, and rare cars, live drifting, fan ride-alongs, a concert headlined by Bizzy Bone, and appearances by Fast & Furious stars Tyrese Gibson and Cody Walker, the event promises an unforgettable experience for car enthusiasts and families alike.

Since its launch in 2018, FuelFest has grown into a worldwide phenomenon, hosting events in cities like Los Angeles, Tokyo, London, and Abu Dhabi. Co-founded by Cody Walker, the event blends the passion of the automotive world with entertainment and philanthropy, creating a unique space where car culture and community come together. “Inspiration is driven from being in the car culture for all these years and living the Fast & Furious experience,” Walker shared. “FuelFest is the only event that provides attendees with an opportunity to feel like they are not just in the culture, but a part of Fast & Furious.”

This year’s Salt Lake City show marks a new chapter for FuelFest. While the event previously visited Utah in 2022, the move to the Utah State Fairpark offers a more centralized location and improved amenities. “We hosted an event in 2022, but in 2025 we have a new location, the Utah State Fairpark, which has a more centralized location and better amenities for our event,” Walker explained. “Expect to see drifting, over 600 cars on display, live music with a Bizzy Bone concert, interactive displays, and all things cars and people in the car culture.”

The event is designed to appeal to a wide range of enthusiasts, with kids under 12 admitted for free to encourage families to join the celebration. “It’s a celebration of the culture as a whole, so all makes and models are welcome. Everyone can feel a part of the car culture,” Walker said. This inclusive approach has been a cornerstone of FuelFest’s success, ensuring that every attendee, from die-hard car enthusiasts to casual fans, feels connected to the event.

One of the standout features of this year’s event is the Taste of Tokyo showcase, inspired by Walker’s visits to Japan. “This was driven to showcase the car brands from my various visits to Japan,” he explained. “We’re trying to recreate what I’ve seen with my own eyes in Japan.” The area will offer fans a glimpse into the underground car meet vibe of Tokyo, complete with a variety of unique and rare vehicles. This addition highlights FuelFest’s commitment to bringing global automotive culture to its attendees, offering a fresh and exciting experience at every event.

FuelFest also offers VIP access for those looking to elevate their experience, including a private lounge, early admission, exclusive merchandise, and more. Fans can get up close to the action in the open-access drift pits, where they can see race cars in action and even ride along with professional drivers. “From special appearances to pro drivers, it allows our fans to even guest ride in drift cars too!” Walker said. These interactive elements ensure that FuelFest is more than just a car show—it’s an immersive experience that puts fans at the heart of the action.

Beyond the cars and entertainment, FuelFest has a deeper mission: giving back. A portion of the event’s proceeds benefits Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW), the non-profit organization founded by Cody’s late brother, Paul Walker. ROWW was created in 2010 to provide skilled resources in post-disaster situations, and its partnership with FuelFest has raised over $700,000 to date. “It’s an amazing feeling to keep my brother’s legacy alive and help communities,” Walker said. “Nothing is more satisfying than seeing this grow with all our natural disasters, from the LA fires to hurricanes and floods.”

ROWW has deployed resources to disaster-stricken areas worldwide, including recent efforts in Asheville, NC, and Englewood, FL, following hurricanes, as well as the Los Angeles wildfires and the Texas floods. “Since we are from Los Angeles, the LA fires hit home for us,” Walker shared. “The damage was incredible, and we see it will take years for people to rebuild their homes and communities. We’ve assisted over 1,000 families to help get back on their feet with household items.” These efforts underscore the importance of ROWW’s mission and the impact of the car community’s support through FuelFest.

Walker’s commitment to disaster relief extends beyond ROWW. In 2022, he and his wife, Felicia, collaborated with The Weather Channel on Fast: Home Rescue, a series focused on rebuilding homes impacted by natural disasters. “We have a clear view that the need will always be there for weather and national disaster assistance,” he said. This perspective has shaped Walker’s approach to philanthropy, ensuring that ROWW remains a vital resource for communities in need.

FuelFest’s connection to the Fast & Furious franchise is another key element of its appeal. The event often features movie cars and special appearances by franchise stars, keeping the spirit of the films alive. “Since we tour eight U.S. cities and Japan, we keep the flame alive with new elements added for each show,” Walker said. This connection not only draws fans of the films but also reinforces the event’s roots in the automotive world.

Looking ahead, Walker has ambitious plans for both FuelFest and ROWW. “Our goals are to enhance continued growth into new markets, making the events each year better than ever before,” he said. “We want everyone to have a great time, so we make sure there is something for everyone—something to remember and take home with a ‘10’ experience to share photos, videos, and great memories. Our hope is also to help inspire the next generation of car enthusiasts.”
