Triumph Motorcycles has taken a bold step in celebrating the legacy of one of motorcycling's most iconic daredevils, Evel Knievel, with the launch of two exclusive Rocket 3 models. The Rocket 3 R and Rocket 3 GT Evel Knievel Limited Editions are set to capture the imagination of motorcycle enthusiasts and collectors alike, with only 500 units to be produced, evenly split between the two models. These motorcycles are slated for release in 2025, offering a unique blend of historic tribute and cutting-edge performance.
The design of these limited edition motorcycles is a striking homage to Evel Knievel's flamboyant persona and his legendary exploits on Triumph bikes. The centerpiece of this design is a handcrafted chrome fuel tank that gleams with Knievel’s signature stars and stripes motif, a nod to the daredevil’s iconic white jumpsuit. This theme extends to the rear bodywork, which is elegantly matched with contrasting Matte Sapphire Black panels. The seats, crafted from premium leather, feature a gold-embroidered Evel Knievel signature, adding an extra layer of bespoke detail.
Paul Stroud, Chief Commercial Officer at Triumph Motorcycles, expressed the significance of this collaboration: “Evel Knievel performed many stunts on Triumph motorcycles during the 60’s, but his jump at Caesar’s Palace on a T120 TT was the moment he created a legend that has inspired generations of fans. These limited editions are designed to capture that spirit of adventure and innovation that Knievel embodied.”

Evel Knievel's partnership with Triumph is steeped in history, marked by numerous death-defying stunts that showcased both his daring spirit and the reliability of Triumph motorcycles. From his early televised performances to his infamous leap over the fountains at Caesars Palace, Knievel's feats have left an indelible mark on the world of extreme sports and popular culture. His partnership with Triumph symbolized a synergy between man and machine, each pushing the boundaries of what was possible.
Beneath the eye-catching exterior, these limited editions are powered by a 2500cc engine, the largest in any production motorcycle, delivering a staggering 180 HP and 166 lb-ft of torque. This powerhouse engine is complemented by a lightweight aluminum frame and high-specification suspension components. With Showa forks and a monoshock RSU, these motorcycles offer a refined ride that balances agility with stability, ensuring they can handle the rigors of both casual cruising and spirited riding.

Each motorcycle comes with a unique start-up screen animation and a black and gold cam cover plate, laser-etched with Knievel's signature. Adding to the exclusivity is a collector’s edition hardback book, authored by Knievel expert Stuart Barker. This book, which chronicles Knievel's adventurous journey with Triumph, is individually numbered to match each bike and signed by Triumph CEO Nick Bloor, making it a cherished item for fans.
These limited editions are priced at $27,495 for the Rocket 3 R and $31,995 for the Rocket 3 GT in the United States, with Canadian prices set at $28,295 and $32,995 respectively. With their limited production and rich historical significance, these models are poised to become highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate both the heritage and performance of Triumph motorcycles. Available from February 2025, interested buyers can place orders through Triumph’s official website.
In releasing the Rocket 3 Evel Knievel Limited Editions, Triumph not only honors a legendary figure but also reinforces its commitment to innovation and excellence in motorcycle craftsmanship. These models embody the thrill of motorcycling and the spirit of adventure that Evel Knievel championed, making them a fitting tribute to a timeless icon.
