Red Bull Technology has unveiled an innovative program, STEMx, in collaboration with the Milton Keynes College Group, as part of their ongoing Drive For Change strategy. This new initiative seeks to increase diversity and inclusion within motorsport and engineering by reshaping the talent pipeline from the grassroots level.

STEMx aims to broaden the appeal of motorsport and Red Bull to a diverse demographic by engaging students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The program offers a mobile, interactive, and experiential learning experience that aligns with the national curriculum, making it accessible and adaptable for different age groups. By integrating essential skills from the curriculum, STEMx hopes to inspire a new generation of talent for the motorsport industry.

To celebrate the launch, over 40 local students were invited to the Red Bull Technology campus to engage in F1-themed activities such as coding, simulator driving, and media challenges. These hands-on experiences are designed to ignite interest in STEM fields and highlight the various roles and skills within F1.

Christian Horner, Oracle Red Bull Racing Team Principal & CEO, expressed the team's commitment to reflecting society's diversity within the talent pool. "We must disrupt the STEM talent pipeline from the grassroots level. STEMx is about reaching as many potential engineers as possible through a flexible and mobile program. Our aim is to inspire young people to pursue STEM subjects and translate that passion into careers within F1 and Red Bull Technology," said Horner.

Sally Alexander, CEO and Group Principal of Milton Keynes College Group, emphasized the importance of inclusivity in STEM. "We are excited to support the program's mission to inspire the next generation of STEM innovators while widening local talent pools. Diversity of thought is essential for innovation, and by encouraging underrepresented communities to consider STEM careers, we're fostering a more equitable future," Alexander stated.

Set to roll out in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, STEMx is poised to transform the STEM landscape, ensuring a brighter, more diverse future for the industry. Through this initiative, Red Bull Technology hopes to inspire countless young minds, fueling both the future of motorsport and engineering.
