The Miami International Autodrome, renowned as the home of the FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX, has unveiled an exciting upgrade with the completion of four innovative track configurations. This development marks a significant step in South Florida Motorsports' (SFM) commitment to enhancing the motorsports landscape in South Florida and furthering Hard Rock Stadium's status as a premier global sports and entertainment hub.
Since its inception in 2022, the Miami International Autodrome has been at the forefront of motorsports excellence. Following the introduction of a state-of-the-art Paddock Club facility in 2023, SFM has added four distinct 'inner loop' layouts to the existing Grand Prix circuit. These circuits, constructed entirely on private property, provide uninterrupted access without impacting local traffic, allowing for a diverse range of motorsport events and private functions year-round.
The new configurations are designed to cater to the world's most elite drivers and the thriving motorsports community in South Florida. "Our investment into the facility and construction of the inner loop creates five track configurations worthy of the world’s most elite drivers and allows us to engage with the growing motorsports community of South Florida while also respecting the impact on local residents and businesses."
In a thrilling announcement, the prestigious Ferrari Racing Days will take place on the Extended Marina Loop from May 14-18, 2025, just two weeks after the 2025 FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX. The event will feature a range of categories, headlined by the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, and include exclusive programs like Ferrari’s F1 Clienti and XX Programmes.
The new track section, strategically constructed after Turn 10 and featuring two additional hairpins, enhances the circuit's versatility. This expansion includes five unique configurations: the 19-turn 5.41km Grand Prix circuit, the 19-turn 4.52km Extended Marina Loop, the 18-turn 3.94km Marina Loop, the 13-turn 2.30km Extended MIA Loop, and the 14-turn 2.83km MIA Loop. Corporate and private events are slated to begin in October 2024.
