Haas has announced the extension of their technical partnership with Ferrari until the conclusion of the F1 2028 season.

Since entering F1 in 2016, Haas has maintained a close technical collaboration with Ferrari, allowing the American team to utilize a range of Ferrari-built components within the guidelines of F1 regulations. Recent reports hinted at a potential partnership shift towards Toyota, the Japanese manufacturer absent from F1 since 2009, but Haas confirmed on Tuesday their commitment to Ferrari even after the significant F1 2026 regulations overhaul affecting chassis and engine rules.

Ayao Komatsu, Haas Team Principal, expressed enthusiasm about the extended partnership with Scuderia Ferrari through 2028. He emphasized the stability provided by Ferrari power units, a longstanding cornerstone of Haas's development. Komatsu praised the enduring relationship with Ferrari, highlighting their instrumental role from the program's inception and ongoing technical support over nine seasons.

Komatsu added, "This announcement underscores MoneyGram Haas F1 Team's commitment to long-term growth and investment in the sport."

Despite finishing at the bottom of the Constructors' Championship twice in the last three seasons, Haas has emerged as a surprise contender in the F1 2024 season, currently holding seventh place in the Constructors' standings before the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest.

With 27 points, Haas sits 18 points ahead of Alpine in eighth place and is just four points behind VCARB, the Red Bull junior team in sixth place. Lead driver Nico Hulkenberg contributed significantly to Haas's strong start this season, securing a second consecutive sixth-place finish at the recent British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
