He highlighted 2023 as a pivotal year for Cadillac Racing, with “No Perfect Formula" encapsulating the emotion and success of the season.

In 2023, Cadillac embraced a new era of sportscar racing with the Hypercar and GTP classes, introducing a novel hybrid propulsion system. The V-Series.R, Cadillac’s third-generation prototype race car, aimed to continue the brand’s legacy on the track. The advent of the LMDh racecar platform, featuring unified regulations between IMSA and WEC, facilitated Cadillac’s return to the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Laura Wontrop Klauser, GM sports car program manager, emphasized the significance of the LMDh regulations in gathering insights on advanced hybrid propulsion systems. She noted the distinctive sound and competitive performance of the Cadillac V-Series.R, leveraging a familiar powertrain platform while aligning with Cadillac’s move towards an electric future.

Racing serves as a testing ground for Cadillac, validating technologies across various domains such as aerodynamics, additive manufacturing, software, and talent development, ultimately enhancing production vehicles and delivering exceptional performance to customers. The V-Series performance lineup, marking its 20th anniversary in 2024, seamlessly integrates track learnings into road-ready models.

Paul Rehrig, Hagerty president of media, marketing, and membership, expressed enthusiasm for showcasing Cadillac Racing’s global presence in sports car racing to enthusiasts. The partnership with Samsung TV Plus expands distribution for Hagerty’s acclaimed video content, reaching a burgeoning audience on prominent screens.
