Corbin Leaverton secures the SXS Pro Championship, while the SXS Sportsman Class Championship culminates in a three-way tie between Kaden Isobella, Reece Fuhlman and Devin Smith.
The 2024 Red Bull Scramble Series National Championship, a series of side-by-side (SXS) off-road races for both amateur and professional racers alike, has concluded, having drawn 197 drivers from all corners of the United States to participate. From the majestic sand dunes of Glamis, CA, to the scenic beaches of Wildwood, NJ, the series delivered adrenaline-pumping action with competitors pushing their limits in every race. The championship encompassed three stops: Red Bull Sand Scramble (Glamis, CA), Red Bull Ranch Scramble (Bowie, TX) and Red Bull Beach Scramble (Wildwood, NJ). Due to scheduling conflicts and unforeseen logistical challenges, the last two planned races, Red Bull Solstice Scramble (Wasilla, AK) and Red Bull Farm Scramble (Garwin, IA) will not move forward, marking Red Bull Beach Scramble as the final race of the 2024 series.
The 2024 championship brought fierce competition, and in the end, it was Corbin Leaverton (Nuevo, CA) who reigned victorious in the SXS Pro Class. Leaverton’s masterful driving allowed him to capture two victories out of the three races, making him the unanimous champion. However, the SXS Sportsman Class saw three different winners across the series, resulting in a three-way tie between Kaden Isobella (Yuma, AZ), Reece Fuhlman (Corinth, TX) and Devin Smith (Poway, CA).
The 2024 Championship kicked off with Red Bull Sand Scramble in the dunes of Glamis, immediately setting the tone for all the thrilling racing to come. Set against a desert backdrop, the constantly shifting sands of the 2.8-mile track in the iconic dunes brought out 67 racers between the two classes. Leaverton secured the win after overcoming a challenging start in his Pro Class heat race, where a penalty for crossing a sector pylon on the wrong side pushed him to the back of the grid.
The next stop of the series was Red Bull Ranch Scramble, where muddy conditions at Shadow Creek Ranch in Bowie, TX, challenged more than 30 drivers to navigate the course on one of the fastest tracks in the history of the series. The Pro Class main race was a neck-and-neck finish between winner Austin Dinger and second-place Connor Maxwell, while Fuhlman finished out in front in the Sportsman Class main race.
To close everything out, the beautiful shores of Wildwood beach set the stage for Red Bull Beach Scramble. Nestled between two piers in southern New Jersey, the circuit on the beach brought together 90 side-by-side racers for the largest field of the 2024 series. After the green flag kicked off the Pro class main race, Leaverton secured the holeshot to take an early lead, maintaining top position throughout and ultimately winning the race and the championship.
“I’m super stoked to finish up the 2024 Red Bull Scramble series and be named the Pro Class Champion,” said Leaverton. “I think we all had a lot of fun this year and got to go to so many different locations, from the sand dunes here in Southern California to the beach in New Jersey, and the awesome racecourse we had out in Texas as well, so a little bit of everything for everyone. My favorite would have to be Glamis. Growing up there, I just love the sand dunes. All in all, just stoked with how the year turned out.”
