Global icon Travis Pastrana introduces the Nitrocross NEXT EVO, a revolutionary vehicle that combines sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and top-notch performance.

Nitrocross, the groundbreaking revolution in motorsport spearheaded by Travis Pastrana, is making waves once again with the introduction of the highly anticipated Nitrocross NEXT EVO. Serving as the latest addition to the dynamic development ladder, this vehicle showcases a sustainable design and integrates components from existing NEXT series cars, providing an ideal platform for nurturing the next generation of motorsport champions.

Created by First Corner, the masterminds behind the Group E FC1-X, the Nitrocross NEXT EVO is built upon the foundation of the company’s FC2 concept. Setting itself apart with its innovative approach, the EVO upcycles components from existing NEXT cars, significantly reducing costs for teams while offering an upgraded racing experience. Moreover, Nitrocross introduces the industry’s first-ever investment reduction program, allowing teams to resell redundant components via a dedicated online portal, further reducing operational expenses.

This cutting-edge model combines the trusted Nitrocross NEXT series’ chassis, transmission, and differentials with all-new state-of-the-art bodywork, a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, enhanced suspension, and chassis reinforcements. The result is heightened performance, reduced costs, and an unparalleled racing experience, driven by First Corner’s FC2-Kit approach.

Chip Pankow, General Manager of Nitrocross, expresses his excitement over this significant milestone: “Through the refurbishment of existing cars, we are meeting all the targets set by the Series at a fraction of the cost. These upcycled cars are set to become one of the most intriguing developments in this tier of motorsport, and I anticipate witnessing the next generation of talented drivers competing in these highly capable vehicles."

Andreas Eriksson, CEO of First Corner, adds, “The NEXT EVO based on the new First Corner FC2 represents an innovative and efficient way to upgrade an entire vehicle. This upgrade kit addresses all the areas that drivers and customers desire, while keeping costs relatively low. It is a major step forward for the series and drivers."

The internal combustion engine of the Nitrocross NEXT EVO generates an impressive 450 horsepower, which can be further boosted up to 550 horsepower using Nitro Boost push-to-pass technology. Notably, this power is harnessed solely from 100 percent eco fuel, aligning with Nitrocross’s commitment to sustainability. Emitting 80 percent less CO2 than conventional fuel and containing zero ethanol, this fossil-free fuel supports eco-friendly practices.

In a bid to minimize its carbon footprint, the Nitrocross NEXT EVO employs an innovative build process that incorporates recycled and reused surplus components from current NEXT vehicles. This sustainable approach further underscores Nitrocross’s dedication to environmentally conscious practices.

To enhance performance on Nitrocross’s challenging tracks, the NEXT EVO introduces steering and suspension upgrades. These include a 40mm increase in suspension travel, along with enhanced front and new rear dampers, allowing drivers to conquer the demanding terrains with ease.

Nitrocross offers a unique opportunity for young drivers to make their mark on the motorsport world. With rising stars like Lia Block, daughter of the late Ken Block, and reigning North American NEXT champion Casper Jansson (SWE) already part of the roster, the NEXT EVO will undoubtedly accelerate their growth. This game-changing vehicle provides a clear developmental pathway, starting from the NEXT division where drivers can hone their skills before progressing to the FC1-X and Group E, all at a significantly reduced cost.

The anticipation surrounding the Nitrocross NEXT EVO is palpable, with a scheduled track test set to take place on November 12, 2023. Orders for this exceptional race car are now open and must be placed by December 2023, with deliveries expected to commence in the summer of 2024.
